World Challenge for Endurance Drivers

A series of independent races from various championships like IMSA Camel GT, World Championship for Makes, IMSA RS, 24 hours of Le Mans and Spa . They formed together endurance challenge for drivers. It was created by Bill France, sanctioned by FIA and it was predecessor to the FIA World Endurance Championship for Drivers that started in 1981 as an experiment and since 1982 it became very proffesional and was sometimes more important than the Championship for Makes.
